End of Day 1: Sarria to Portomarin (14 Miles)

I have calculated the hours of travel and it has come out to 30 straight hours of traveling! We finally arrived at our hostel in Portomarin and I have never felt a better feeling than taking off my shoes and socks. 14 miles doesn't seem that bad but it really got to me! I laid down in my bed and immediately fell asleep and was awoken two hours later as the group  was going to dinner. I will definitely be going to bed early once we get back! The walk itself was really beautiful. We walked through tons of farms and even had to stop a few times to let a herd of cows cross the trail. It rained basically the whole time and the trail was full of mud, but just being here and experiencing this will overpower any negatives that come our way. We have a super busy day tomorrow so I'm hoping to recover as much as possible to be strong for tomorrow!
