Not that I am getting bad looks or anything, I am just bigger than everyone and blonde. Then when I ask someone a question at a desk, it is a struggle with the language barrier. I took Spanish in high school for three years but that was a long time ago! Definitely a little rusty. But it was fun sitting on the train from the airport to the train station and trying to remember verbs and putting sentences together! I went to the desk where you buy your train tickets and I asked for the train to Sarria. The man working, with no English in his repertoire, thought I said Soria and that I was gonna have to wait until tomorrow. It kind of freaked me out, but I found the customer service desk and asked the same question to the man who spoke a little English. He caught the mix up and told me to emphasize "Saw-Ree-Uh." I went to a different desk and got it all situated. And to officially send off the trip, I decided to splurge a bit and eat Burger King for dinner. I figure it's the last fast food i will eat in a while! Now I'm just waiting in the main area of the train station and waiting to find out what platform I will be leaving from!!!
